I went to see Bruno last night. I have to say it was disgusting and extremely tasteless but at the same time absolutely genius and hilarious. In a similar style to Borat, Bruno goes to America to try and become famous in various different ways from creating a TV show to going on a talk show. Of course a few celebrities bear Bruno’s brunt including Paula Abdul and Harrison Ford! As well as celebrities, other victims include politicians, terrorists, religious leaders etc.
Sacha Baron Cohen carries out the role just as well as his other alter egos and makes the character so believable even though he is absolutely unbelievable. There are some dodgy moments where Cohen is seriously threatened but he doesn’t batter an eyelid and carries on playing Bruno flawlessly.
With its jaw dropping, crude and morally wrong content I do not suggest you watch this if you are easily offended or even you very difficult to offend. Basically if nothing fazes you and you have absolutely no morals then this is the film for you and you will love it.
Good news if your 15-17 and want to see Bruno. The studio is re-releasing a slightly cut version and it is being given a 15 certificate. It is only 110 seconds shorter so I’m assuming only the extremely questionable moments have been removed but I’m sure it will be just as good.
Mobile number thief’s 118800’s website is currently down. This is due to the massive amounts of requests they have received from people asking for their number to be removed. They have shut the website down while they do this. The phone number still works but mobile numbers cannot be requested from it, only landlines. Personally I hope it stays down and find it annoying that our mobile phone companies found it appropriate to sell on our phone numbers for financial gain, like they don’t rip us off enough already with their expensive and extremely long term contracts and high price phones. I mean I’m currently locked into a 24 month contract with o2 and still had to pay close to £100.00 for the phone. OK it was worth as it’s the best phone I’ve ever seen or owned but still.
Apparently it is possible to record keystrokes on a computer keyboard through the power socket the computer is connected. It is only possibly when using a keyboard with a PS/2 connection. When keys are pressed data in the form of voltage fluctuations travels down the keyboard cable into the computer and down the earth wire into the plug socket. It is possible to attach special equipment to the earth cable up to 15 metres away from the source making it a security threat in offices and hotels. I don’t think it’s that much of a problem considering the effort involved and the skill required to decipher any data recorded but if you are worried then use a USB or wireless keyboard and problem solved!
The first swine flu death in a perfectly healthy person in the UK has been confirmed. Aaaah we’re all gonna die! Also the government has announced that every single person in the UK is to be inoculated against the virus. I guess that means the GP’s office will be clogged up for the next year and by then it will have all blown over anyway. The government has ordered 132 million vaccines but only 60 million live in the UK. This seems a bit wasteful, fair enough order a few extra but over twice as many as is required seems a bit excessive.
There have been rumours (mainly in The Sun) that Gavin Henson is retiring from Rugby. The rumours are false as confirmed by Gavin himself and his team, The Ospreys.
