There have been a lot of rumours and news flying about on the internet that Michael Jackson is in fact alive. This blog seems to have the full story http://derekclontz.wordpress.com/2009/06/29/michael-jackson-faked-his-death-say-sources-with-comeback-tour-to-be-biggest-ever/.
This author does seem to like his conspiracy theories with several other posts about this topic and a few about Elvis Presley.
Personally I think it is a load of rubbish, Michael Jackson is dead just like Elvis Presley. The idea that he managed to get to Hungary keeping everyone who he came into contact with quiet including airport staff, pilots, customs, immigration in absurd. The poor man tragically died, people need to accept this and let him family grieve. Stories like this will not be helping his family and it is extremely disrespectful to them and to MJ himself.
The fact that there are people out there who spend their lives searching for dead people and manufacturing evidence to prove their elaborate theories is just sad and weird. Have you noticed the type of people I mean if you ever watch those conspiracy documentaries on TV, they just look weird, the type that still live with their mother’s at 40. (I know that’s stereotyping but hey, whatever!) These people need to get out more and make some real friends and get a bloody job maybe.
For people who actually respect the dead, yesterday was Michael Jackson’s funeral and memorial service. It was a very moving service for the fans and the stars who performed including our very own Shaheen Jafargholi, who was amazing I thought. MJ’s daughter’s speech was very moving but I don’t think it was a good idea to let her speak to the entire world in such a time of grief.
The service received just 6.3milion viewers over 7 channels which if you put into comparison to another show on later that night, Torchwood which received 5.9 million viewers on one channel or the tennis on the weekend which received over 11 million viewers, then it is quite disappointing.
The producers of awesome show, Lost have asked fans to write a ‘theme song’ for it. It’s called the ‘Rock with your Lost on’ contest and is being held in conjunction with Comic-Con in San Diego later this month. The song should reflect what the show means to the viewers and the winner will have their song played at the convention. It would be highly unlikely that the song will actually be used as the theme song but it’ll be good to see what fans come up with. Any of you going to submit a song? Let me know in the comments section or email to me and I’ll post to be played here.
Both the USA and South Korea have had some of their government agency computer networks attacked. I think based on the targets, it is pretty obvious who the attacker is, North Korea. North Korea has regular run ins with both countries with both of them regularly condemning N. Korea’s actions. Hopefully this won’t turn into a massive conflict and can be resolved quickly by the countries. At most the US should respond with a similar attack and not with any physical wars or invasions.
Google are currently manufacturing a new Operating System to rival Microsoft. Personally I don’t think they have a chance at the monopoly that is Microsoft. They’ve already failed in the browser market; the best they can hope for is to become a rival of Linux which has a similar type of OS. It’s a shame really because Microsoft really does have a rubbish OS and I’m pretty sure Google can create a better one but breaking that monopoly just seems impossible for any company. The closest anyone has got it Mozilla in the ‘Browser wars’ but Microsoft still has by far the largest market share.
It seems men are no longer needed in the world. Sperm cells have been created by a scientist in Newcastle, UK using stem cells. The cells could be used to help infertile people have babies. As we all know this kind of research (using stem cells) is very controversial, especially among the religious community. This is because human embryos are used in the process and later discarded where as these could have potentially been a human life. Personally I have no problem as it is this kind of research that could save lives from so many diseases and medical problems. What is your opinion, let me know in the comments below.
